Danone Nations Cup 2010
It seems more football activities are headed to South Africa with the news that in October 2010 the country will host the Danone Cup of Nations World Cup.
The Danone Nations Cup is the biggest International Football Cup for children aged 10 to 12 years of age, gathering 40 countries and more than 2.5 million players aged 10 to 12. Children are selected through national trials all over the world.
This tournament was conceptualized with the intention of bringing hundreds of children together from all over the world to give them a dream of playing in a prestigious international event. Over the past 8 years it has done exactly that. From a mere 8 countries, DANONE is now impacting the lives of children in 40 countries around the world. The tournament sees the participation of over 2.5 million children each year.
Besides being a fantastic showcase of sporting talent, the Danone Nations Cup is a real emotional adventure for the youngsters involved, complete with the tears of defeat and the joy of victory.
